Kids from 6 mos. to 18 years should get flu vacc.?:baby flu
There is an epidemiologist on NPR saying that he wants all kids from 6 mos. to 18 years to ge the flu vacc. because they are the main transmitters of the flu.

What are your thoughts?

The flu vaccine for this year has been very ineffective. I’d skip it.

if you do get the flu vacc it doesn’t stop you from getting the flu… i got one a few years back and got a really bad case of the flu, and i haven’t gotten the flu shot since, and along with that i haven’t gotten the flu… so my opinion is get it if you want, but it wont always make a difference, there is such a thing as a resistance gene which will make the vacc not help you, and thats what happened to me.

I know the reason babies should get flu shot is because the flu can kill them. You should always get kids under two a flu shot. I would say the reason kids under 18 are the main transmitters is because they haven’t developed the yuck factor. YUCK there are germs on that. They are more likely to forget to wash their hands and they don’t wash their hands as much, cover their mouths, and they are in public the most at school, stores and touching things at stores.
